Generally, Visiting Instructor appointments to the School of Medicine, paid or unpaid, are for one year and are renewable annually for up to a total of three years (or for up to a total of six years by Provostial exception)

All Visiting appointments, regardless of paid status, are considered “at will”; therefore, either party may terminate the appointment any time and for any reason.
