Visiting Scholar appointments are usually made for one year and may be renewed for a second year. An extension beyond two years will be granted only for extraordinary and compelling reasons.  Shorter appointments may be possible; discuss with staff in the Office of Academic Affairs before submitting the request.

All Visiting appointments, regardless of paid status, are considered “at will”; therefore, either party may terminate the appointment any time and for any reason.
