GME House Staff Facilities

The GME gym is located on the 4th floor of Stanford Health Care (SHC). It is equipped with stair climbers, treadmills, bicycles, and weights. Residents must use their access cards to enter and exit the roof access door that leads to the gym. The access code for the gym door is posted above the keypad.

The GME lounge is also on the 4th floor, in room HC433, next to the GME Office. The lounge features sofas, chairs, a television, a pool table, a refrigerator, and a microwave. This space is provided for the comfort of residents, but please be mindful of noise levels to avoid disturbing nearby on-call sleeping rooms.

The GME Resident/Fellow workroom is located on the 4th floor of SHC, in room HC403, across from the GME Office. This workroom offers day lockers, computers, a phone, and a printer, providing residents with a quiet workspace.

On-call quarters are assigned by service throughout the 300P and 500P buildings. Senior residents can provide specific information about these rooms.

Additionally, there are 21 on-call rooms located on the 4th floor of 300P, accessible via the N stairwell, with a few more available through the L stairwell. This area also includes a small gym, a lounge, a workroom with computers, a lactation lounge, and bathrooms with showers. The GME Department is located in room HC435 and offers administrative services such as student loan deferments and answers to any questions. Your photo ID badge will grant you access to this staff-only area.

Call Rooms Policy:

  • Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.
  • Doors cannot be locked from the outside.
  • Please lock the door while in use to avoid disturbances.
  • Use the "occupied" sign when inside the room.
  • Move the sign to "vacant" when you leave so housekeeping can clean the room.
