About ACGME Surveys

The ACGME Surveys serve as an early warning for ACGME non-compliance. ACGME distributes and aggregates the surveys on their website for all programs. 

  • ACGME Survey by Resident/Fellow
  • ACGME Survey by Faculty

ACGME Requirements

ACGME Institutional Requirements:

I.B.5.a).(2) - The GMEC must identify institutional performance indicators for the AIR, which include: results of ACGME surveys of residents/fellows and core faculty members

ACGME Surveys can also be in a program's Annual Program Evaluation (APE) Meeting.

GME uses the institutional ACGME surveys in the Annual Institutional Review (AIR).

ACGME Citations for Poor Compliance

Failure to comply results in the following citations:

  • Citation for low compliance rate (59% or less) of ACGME Survey by Faculty
  • Citation for low compliance rate (69% or less) of ACGME Survey by Residents/Fellows
