Why did you pursue a career in medicine?
I wanted to be of service to people: patients, colleagues, and trainees.
What is a challenge you experience in pursuing a career in medicine?
Finding the appropriate work-life balance as a mother to young children has always been challenging. You want to give 120% at home and at work, and there is unfortunately only one me.
What is the most fulfilling part of your work?
Training the next generation of pediatric cardiologists who will change the field and continue to improve patient outcomes.
What advice would you give someone starting in the field?
Do what you love, and remind yourself frequently why you love what you do.
