Quality Council
The Neurology Quality Council was launched in September 2018. The Quality Council meets quarterly and serves as an advisory group for the overall direction of improvement work in the department.

Neurology Care Review Committee
The Neurology Care Review Committee meets quarterly to review clinical cases for opportunities to continuously improve quality, safety, and experience for patients and families. The Care Review Committee focuses on the continuum of care received by neurology patients in the hospital and clinics. Findings from the Committee are reported to the Neurology Quality Council. Systems opportunities identified from the Committee are reported to the Neurology Quality Council. The Committee contributes content to the Stanford Healthcare Care Improvement Committee (CIC) for annual report to the MEC and the Board of Directors.
SHC Tri-Valley Neurology Quality Committee
The Neurology Quality Committee at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley was established in 2021 and meets bimonthly with the goal of ensuring high-quality care for all Neurology patients treated at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley. The committee is led by Shefali Dujari, MD, Heather Hickman, BSN, RN, and Megan Akacsos, BSN, RN and includes a multidisciplinary team with representatives from nursing leadership, the Neurology service, Emergency Department service, Intensive Care service, and Medicine Hospitalist service.”
