Bio

Betty Yee is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner that obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Biology at the University of California at Davis. She later went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in New York. She continued her studies at Pace University in New York City and received a Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After obtaining experience as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit and in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, she returned to California and joined the Otology and Neurotology team at Stanford in 2019.

Clinically, she specializes in Medical Otology and Facial Plastic Surgery in the Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery department.

Bio

Nurse Practitioner Woods is a Bay Area native. Ong-Dee graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis in 2007. She went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University, where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Honors Society of Nursing, and became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012. After gaining work experience as a Registered Nurse at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, and as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care at Dignity Health, Woodland Healthcare, Ong-Dee joined Stanford's Otology-Neurotology team in 2015. Her passions include dance and music, which are integrally linked to her goal of providing compassionate, exceptional, and individualized care at the Stanford Ear Institute.

Jaclyn Moor, AuD

Bio

Dr. Jaclyn Moor obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in 2013. She then continued her studies at the same university and received an Audiology Doctorate in 2017. As part of her training, she also completed a fellowship year at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. She joined the Stanford Audiology team in 2017.

Dr. Moor performs both conventional and advanced diagnostic measures of the auditory and balance or vestibular systems. She is experienced in selecting, fitting, and adjusting state-of-the art hearing aids and non-conventional amplification devices, including cochlear implants.

Angela Huang, AuD

Bio

Angela Huang obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology as well as speech and hearing sciences from University of Washington in 2014. She went on to receive her Audiology Doctorate from Arizona State University in 2018 after completing an externship at University of Colorado Hospital. Dr. Huang joined Stanford Audiology in 2018 where she performs hearing and balance diagnostic procedures as well as the fitting of hearing aid and cochlear implants.

Jannine B. Larky, MA

Bio

Jannine Larky has worked with pediatric and adult cochlear implant patients for over 20 years. She obtained a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1989. She then returned to California to complete her Clinical Fellowship in Audiology at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles. Three years later she accepted a position at UC San Francisco and remained there for the next 12 years. In 2004, she joined Stanford Audiology to establish and direct a new Cochlear Implant Center.

She oversees the clinical and daily operations of the center and sees patients, providing the full range of services to cochlear implant candidates and recipients. She has expertise in programming all manufacturers of cochlear implants that are available. She has presented widely on cochlear implantation.

Honey Gholami, AuD

Honey Gholami obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University in 2002. She returned to graduate school at San Francisco State University where she received a Master of Science degree in Audiology in 2004. She then obtained her Audiology doctorate degree from Salus University. She joined Stanford Audiology in 2004.

She performs both conventional and advanced diagnostic measures of the auditory and balance or vestibular systems. She also is experienced to select, fit and adjust state-of-the art hearing aids as well as non-conventional amplification devices. She is fluent in Farsi.

Cita Bianca Alcala, AuD

Bio

Cita Bianca Alcala obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences with a Minor in Music from San Diego State University in 2020. She then continued her studies and obtained a Doctorate of Audiology degree at the University of the Pacific in 2023. As part of her training, she completed her externship at Orange County Physicians' Hearing Services in 2023. Throughout her studies, she worked as a professional guitarist and private teacher, with an emphasis in classical guitar. She joined the Stanford Audiology team in 2023.

Dr. Alcala performs conventional and advanced diagnostic evaluations of the auditory and vestibular systems. She also is experienced to select, fit and adjust state-of-the art hearing aids. Outside of work, she enjoys playing and teaching guitar, as well as gardening. She is fluent in Tagalog.

Goutham Telukuntla, AuD

Goutham Telukuntla obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mangalore, in India, in 2001. He received his Master of Science degree from the University of Wyoming in 2006. He then obtained his Audiology doctorate degree from the University of Florida in 2009. He joined Stanford Audiology in 2008.

He performs both conventional and advanced diagnostic measures of the auditory and balance or vestibular systems. He also is experienced to select, fit and adjust state-of-the art hearing aids as well as non-conventional amplification devices. He is fluent in Telugu and Hindi.

Daniel Park, AuD

Bio

Daniel Park obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas in 2011. He taught middle and elementary school until returning to his alma mater to obtain his audiology doctorate degree in 2018. He moved to Northern California to complete his clinical training and has been a private practice audiologist until joining the Stanford Ear Institute in 2022. He performs conventional and advanced diagnostic evaluations of the auditory and vestibular systems. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring the natural beauty of California with his wife. He is fluent in Korean.

Lauren Jacobs, AuD

Bio

Lauren Jacobs is an East Bay native who obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and Music from Tufts University in 2017. She went on to work at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Limb Lab where she worked on projects pertaining to creativity, music perception for cochlear implant recipients / individuals with hearing loss, and community outreach for hearing preservation. She then obtained her Doctorate of Audiology from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and completed her clinical externship at UCSF in 2022.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys playing music with friends, spending time with family, and sampling spicy foods from across the Bay Area.

Min Kyeong Kim received her clinical doctorate from the University of Iowa and completed her externship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She is a nationally certified and state-licensed audiologist and joined the Stanford Audiology team in 2023. She sees patients at our Stanford Ear Institute and Menlo Medical Clinic locations. Min Kyeong Kim’s clinical skills include providing advanced diagnostic testing, hearing aid device selection and fitting, and vestibular testing. She is fluent in Korean and works mainly with the adult population.

Bio

Dr. Melissa Tribble received her Bachelors of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2002 and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Kent State University as part of the Northeast Ohio AuD Consortium (NOAC). As part of her clinical training, she also completed a 1 year traineeship through the Family Child Learning Center in Tallmadge, Ohio which focused on providing early intervention services to children from birth to 3 years of age, who are deaf and hard of hearing. Dr. Melissa Tribble joined the pediatric audiology team at Stanford Children’s Health in 2007.

Dr. Tribble is a licensed dispensing audiologist and has been an active clinical educator for audiology students since joining the pediatric audiology team in 2007. She was on the board of directors for the California Academy of Audiology between 2009 and 2016. She was also the lead audiologist for the cleft and craniofacial team at Stanford Children’s Health between 2007 and 2017. Dr. Tribble became manager to the pediatric audiology department in 2016.

Megan Bartoshuk, AuD

Dr. Megan Bartoshuk received her Bachelors of Science in Auditory Science and Neuroscience in 2017 from Carnegie Mellon University and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021. Dr. Bartoshuk also served as a trainee in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) program and was an audiology grant recipient through the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Program (OSEP). Dr. Bartoshuk joined the pediatric audiology team at Stanford Children's Health for her fellowship year in 2020 and officially joined the pediatric audiology team as an audiologist upon graduation in 2021.

Dr. Bartoshuk is a licensed dispensing audiologist and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Bartoshuk takes pride in providing family centered care. She has expertise in performing comprehensive developmentally appropriate assessments of the auditory system including ABR/ASSR. Additionally, Dr. Bartoshuk has expertise with the pediatric population in the selection, fitting and verification of state-of-the-art hearing aids and assistive listening devices. Emma McGrath, AuD

Dr. Emma McGrath received her received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2016 and her Doctorate of Audiology degree in 2022 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She served as a trainee in the Wisconsin Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program which provided advanced training in leadership, advocacy, public health, and clinical education in pediatrics. As part of her training, she completed her fellowship year at Stanford Medicine Children's Health in 2021 and officially joined the team as an audiologist upon graduation in 2022.

Dr. McGrath is a licensed dispensing audiologist and has obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. McGrath takes pride in providing family centered care. She has expertise in performing comprehensive developmentally appropriate assessments of the auditory system including ABR/ASSR. Kristina (Kristi) Ward, AuD, PhD

Dr. Kristina (Kristi) Ward received a Bachelor of Science (BS) with Honors in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2013. She obtained Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degrees from Northwestern University in 2020 and 2021, respectively. As part of her training, she completed a fellowship year at the Stanford Ear Institute from 2020 to 2021 during which she worked clinically with both pediatric and adult patients as well as conducted research. Dr. Ward joined the pediatric audiology team at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health as an audiologist in 2022.

Dr. Ward is a licensed audiologist and has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She provides a wide range of audiologic services to pediatric patients and their families, including developmentally appropriate diagnostic and rehabilitative services. Dr. Ward specializes in working with cochlear implant candidates and recipients and has expertise in programming all FDA-approved cochlear implant manufacturers.

Dr. Ward takes pride in providing family-centered care that is rooted in evidence-based practice. She is passionate about contributing to the field of audiology through her joint clinical and research endeavors. Dr. Ward’s research aims to understand the factors that contribute to real-world listening and speech understanding in children with hearing loss who use hearing aids and/or cochlear implants, with the ultimate goal of maximizing outcomes. Her research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, featured in national and international scientific conferences, and funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Rana Barghouty, MA, CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT

Bio

Rana Barghouty received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Akron in 2014 and 2016, respectively. As part of the Graduate Studies Consortium in Listening and Spoken Language, she completed additional courses and practicum experiences concentrated on (re)habilitation of listening and language skills for children and adults. Her graduate studies concluded with an externship at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2021, she obtained her credentials for Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist and joined the pediatric audiology team at Stanford Children's Health.

Ms. Barghouty worked in education and early intervention at St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf in Indianapolis from 2016-2021. She takes pride in coaching caregivers to support the development of their child's listening and spoken language skills in order for them to maximize their potential. She has a special interest in how language is connected to executive functions, pragmatics, and literacy.

Dr. Ronella Rosenberg received her received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a concentration in Hearing and Deafness in 2015 from The George Washington University. She received her Doctorate of Audiology degree in 2020 from the University of Maryland, College Park. As part of her training, she completed her fellowship year at Sacramento Ear, Nose, and Throat, where she provided pediatric and adult patients with diagnostic and rehabilitative services. Shortly after graduating in 2020, she worked as a clinical audiologist with University Medical Partners, a partner of Stanford Health Care, where she provided audiological and vestibular services. As a proud Californian, Dr. Rosenberg is excited to serve her community as a pediatric audiologist.

Bio

Dr. Hiroyasu Sugihara is a vestibular physical therapist. He was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He received his bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Physical Education from Saitama University, Japan. In 2006 he graduated from Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions in Boston, receiving the Ionta Award for Clinical Excellence and endowed scholarship awards.

Dr. Sugihara completed his year-long internship training at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Boston, home of Harvard University’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, and he remained as a staff physical therapist. After he moved to San Francisco, he practiced at California Pacific Medical Center since 2008. He joined Stanford Inpatient Rehabilitation in 2011 and Stanford Ear Institute in 2016.

He has a special interest in vestibular balance rehabilitation for pre and post otology/neurotology surgery and vestibular migraine. He performs computerized dynamic posturography (CDP) tests, infrared goggles vestibular examination, BPPV positional tests and canalith repositioning maneuvers (CRM). He also assesses dynamic/functional gait to predict fall risk.

Hiro enjoys walking local trails over the weekend with his wife.
