Institute for Healthcare Improvement Open School

IHI Open School offers dozens of courses. These are free for residents, fellows, and faculty members. Completion of certain courses can lead to a Basic Certificate in Quality & Safety. CME credits are available.

AAO-HNS Quality Measures

The American Academy of Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery  has developed Quality Measures and reporting initiatives in many areas of Otolaryngology. These measures are integrated into public and private payer programs and can be used to drive improvement in practice.

Choosing Wisely

Choosing Wisely is an initiative of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation that seeks to advance a national dialogue on avoiding unnecessary medical tests, treatments, and procedures. The Journal of Hospital Medicine regularly publishes articles related to the Choosing Wisely campaign called “Things We Do for No Reason,”  many of which are relevant to the care of patients with neurological conditions.
