The Stanford Medicine Teaching and Mentoring Academy promotes excellence in teaching and mentoring by developing, supporting, and recognizing dedicated educators to ensure world-class training for the next generation of physicians, researchers, and educators. Academy membership structure serves two purposes: one, to encourage membership for any Stanford affiliate who wishes to be part of our community; two, to use membership as a mechanism for recognizing individuals who contribute significantly to the Academy’s work and/or whose teaching and mentoring merit reward.

The Stanford Health Professions Education and Scholarship (formerly known as CTSS) is a year-long faculty development program in medical education, designed to introduce clinical educators to fundamental concepts in education. Facilitating the skills development of our educators and mentors is a core part of the Academy’s mission, and we strive to deliver several programs that will accomplish this.  These include training programs in pedagogy, a Junior Faculty Teaching and Mentoring Bootcamp, Peer Coaching Program on Teaching and Mentoring, Medical and BioSciences Education Seminar Series, and consultation on curricular development, mentoring, and scholarship.
