All faculty are welcome to join the Global Health Pathway lecture series featuring global health experts from around the world discussing fundamental and advanced concepts common to global health practice.  This lecture series aims to increase awareness of global health challenges, improve cultural-competency, and facilitate globally informed perioperative physicians. With an open-access format, virtual lectures also serve as opportunities for global professional networking and engagement with colleagues near and far. Faculty with global health experience and expertise are also welcome to engage as speakers in the series.

The LRC is an open-access, free, curated, online learning platform always looking for faculty champions.  With several courses created by a diverse coalition of committed anesthesiologists from across the globe, the LRC has reached thousands of learners from hundreds of countries.  The LRC's platform enables asynchronous and synchronous learning, tracks learner progress, functions in low bandwidths, and works on smartphones, tablets, and computers - ready to maximize learning anywhere.

The Division of Global Health Equity has several ACGME-approved academic partnerships.  Faculty are invited to participate during in-person rotations at these sites in conjunction with GHE faculty and departmental trainees.  Rotating faculty are able to use their education funding (EDF) for these rotations but must use their vacation time while they are away.

Lifebox and the ASA launch an annual challenge to raise funds and awareness to improve patients' perioperative safety around the world through distribution of life-saving pulse oximetry and capnography. Our Department is always looking for faculty champions to assist residents in raising the most money and win the challenge.  Stanford Anesthesia came in second place in 2022 but hopes to take the lead in years ahead.
