Pediatric Anesthesia
The Department of Anesthesia at Stanford University Medical Center offers a one-year, ACGME-approved fellowship in pediatric anesthesia. This division is responsible for the anesthesia for approximately 5,000 cases per year in every surgical subspecialty, including organ transplantation. There are 8 pediatric anesthesiologists on staff, 2 fellows, and 4 residents. All division attendings have completed subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia and many are certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine. Pediatric Anesthesia Fellows rotate through several assignments during the course of the fellowship year.
The fellowship position is open to candidates who have successfully completed residency training in anesthesiology at an accredited training program and who are board eligible or certified in anesthesiology.
