                                                     Our Mission

To facilitate the research mission in the School of Medicine, the Research Management Group (RMG) serves as the central resource and expert partner on research administration providing support and oversight of sponsored projects. RMG represents Stanford University as the institutional official for proposal submission and award acceptance ensuring compliance with federal regulations, sponsor requirements and University policies.

RMG's current address is 3172 Porter Drive, Palo Alto, CA   94304-1212. See our new address in Redwood City effective June 17th below.

Our internal Stanford mail code 5469 will remain the same after our move to Redwood City.

                                                RMG is Moving

From:              Kathleen Thompson,
                       Director, Research Management Group

Subject:          Research Management Group is Moving

The Research Management Group (RMG) office will be relocating to the new Redwood City Campus (RWC).  Effective Monday, June 17th our new address will be:

                      Research Management Group
                      455 Broadway
                      Discovery Hall, 2nd Floor-MC 5469
                      Redwood City, CA 94063-3126

As a result, operations may be impacted as we prepare for the move:

June 10-12 – We will be packing our offices.  While we expect to be fully operational, response times may be longer than usual.

June 13-14 - Our offices at Porter Drive will be closed however, our staff will work-from-home on those days and we expect to maintain normal operations.

June 17 - We will be unpacking at our new RWC offices so we will not be able to respond to emails, voicemails or submit proposals as usual. In the event of an emergency, please contact me at 650-888-0645.  Be sure to leave a voicemail message with a call-back number.  Voicemail will be monitored closely, and your call will be returned.

To ensure timely submission of sponsored project and fellowship proposals with due dates during this period, please notify your RPM or Fellowship Manager immediately of your intent to submit a proposal so that the budget preparation and PDRF routing processes can begin.  We recommend notifying RMG 4 weeks in advance of the sponsor deadline.

To ensure timely budget development and contract negotiation for industry-funded clinical trials, please be sure to inform your CT RPM or CCTO Financial Analyst if you plan to start enrolling during the June 10-17 timeframe.

Thank You.
