Subaward Amendments/Modifications

It may be necessary to amend the terms of an existing Subaward during the Subaward period of performance. Some changes may require prior approval from the prime sponsor before they become effective.

Typical Subaward amendments/modifications include but are not limited to the following:

  • Change of scope of work
  • Change of prime awardee PI or Subrecipient PI
  • Modification or addition to terms and conditions
  • Budget amendments (increase/decrease funding)
  • Carry forward request
  • Revision of the period of performance
  • Early termination

OSR
  • Submits a requisition through Oracle iProcurement to request a modification to a Subaward.
  • Obtains updated budget, justification, scope of work from the subrecipient.
  • Obtains prime sponsor’s approval for modification of Subaward if required
  • Receives, reviews, and processes Subaward amendment requisitions
