Research Process Manager (RPM) Department Assignment List
Winter Closure and Submission Deadlines
Our Mission

To facilitate the research mission in the School of Medicine, the Research Management Group (RMG) serves as the central resource and expert partner on research administration providing support and oversight of sponsored projects. RMG represents Stanford University as the institutional official for proposal submission and award acceptance ensuring compliance with federal regulations, sponsor requirements and University policies.

Winter Closure and Submission Deadlines:
To: Faculty and Department Administrators

In line with the School of Medicine's decision to close operations for the winter closure, the Research Management Group (RMG) offices will be closed from December 19, 2009 - January 3, 2010. RMG staff will not be available during this period.

To ensure timely submission of proposals, please note the following internal deadline:

Grant proposal submissions:
All proposals with due dates between Friday, December 18, 2009 and Monday, January 4, 2010 the complete and final package must be received by your RPM no later than Monday, December 14. Please notify your RPM immediately of your intent to submit an application so that work can begin on budget preparation, SU-42 routing, and compliance documents (PI waiver, effort waiver, IDC waiver, etc) if necessary.

Industry-funded clinical trial budget development:
To ensure timely budget development for industry-funded clinical trials: OSR has set an internal deadline of Friday, December 4, 2009 for us to provide the sponsor approved budget and SU-42 for contracts that must be signed before Dec 31, 2009. This should allow sufficient time for OSR to complete the contract and issue the Notice of Award so the study account can be established.  If you are not already working with a CT RPM or CCTO financial analyst on a final budget for your industry-funded study, it will be extremely unlikely that we will be able to complete the study budget before the December 4 deadline. Please contact your CT RPM immediately if you have any concerns about completing your budget before the OSR deadline. Questions about winter closure may be directed to the Research Process Manager assigned to your department.

In the event of an extreme sponsored project emergency during winter closure, please leave a voice mail message at 650-725-0661. Be sure to leave a call-back number. Voice-mail will be monitored and your call will be returned.
