Medical & Bioscience Education Seminar Series
The Medical & Bioscience Education Seminar Series offers opportunities for the Stanford Medicine community to learn about educational scholarship and innovation in a collegial and collaborative environment. The seminars are offered once per month during the academic year, providing a space for community members to share and get feedback on education-related research and to gain hands-on skills learning to enhance their educational efforts. Topics focus on improving instruction or mentoring, innovating in instructional delivery, and educational scholarship. All members of the SoM community--faculty, trainees and staff--in medicine and the biosciences are welcome to attend.
Telehealth Series
The Teaching and Mentoring Academy is pleased to present Best Practices in Telehealth Seminar Series. As telehealth usage continues to expand, clinicians and medical educators are being asked to adapt to new ways of connecting with patients and working with trainees. This series will provide perspectives from physicians, faculty, trainees, and patients about best practices and lessons learned from experiences with telehealth.
Women in Medicine
The Women in Medicine seminar series is a quarterly event facilitated by Dr. Arghavan Salles. Each seminar focuses on issues women face in the workplace, with a specific focus on the experiences of women working in the medical context.
Junior Faculty Teaching Workshop
In collaboration with Kelley Skeff, MD, PhD and Georgette Stratos, PhD, co-founders of the Stanford Faculty Development Center for Medical Teachers, the Teaching and Mentoring Academy offers a Faculty Teaching Skills Workshop that benefits both Basic Science faculty and Clinical faculty within the School of Medicine.
