Comprehensive Cancer Research Training Program

The Stanford Cancer Institute’s (SCI) Comprehensive Cancer Research Training Program (CCRTP) is an engaging two-and-a-half-day program that invites learners to participate in current cancer research lectures and discussions. 2023 marks the 15th anniversary of this exciting program.

The program’s curriculum consists of plenary sessions followed by half-day sessions on two scientific themes, each featuring three to four presentations. Speakers include nationally and internationally renowned Stanford faculty who will expound on current topics of basic, translational, and clinical cancer research.

SCI invites learners from all levels, including undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral students (residents, clinical fellows, research fellows), and junior faculty, to attend. Individuals from the School of Medicine, School of Engineering, and the School of Humanities and Sciences are highly encouraged to participate. External students are welcome and highly encouraged to participate as well. Other opportunities during CCRTP include poster sessions where learners can showcase research work through a poster session and network with faculty, colleagues, and other peers. At the end of the program, we ask for feedback through a post-event survey to improve the curation of topics further and improve your experience.

Attendees are invited to participate in the poster session. If you would like to showcase your work, please register for the program and submit your abstract by August 28. You will submit your abstract via the registration form. Further instructions on poster setup and judging criteria will be emailed to you directly

After you check in at the registration desk in the Li Ka Shing Center lobby, please set up the poster in your designated spot. Please bring your posters ready for display.

Poster dimensions can be up to a maximum of 48x36 inches.  A tack board will be provided to support the posters and supplies (extra tacks, tape).Posters will be on display throughout the day. Presenters should plan on being stationed by their work to answer questions during the lunch break. 

All posters must be removed by the end of the reception on Sept. 19th.

Yes, at the end of the CCRTP program (Sept. 20th), each participant will receive a physical certificate of attendance.

CCRTP will continue to be hosted at the Stanford main campus area or in neighboring Palo Alto.
