About Stanford Neurosurgery
Message from our Chair
Stanford Neurosurgery's vision is to diagnose, treat, and cure neurological conditions with the compassion and precision necessary to restore patients to their lives.
With our complement of over 30 specialized surgeons, we are able to provide expert care for the full spectrum of neurological conditions. We are a nationally-ranked top tier program for neurosurgery, and our facilities and technology allow us to provide the highest level of care in treating neurological diseases for adult and pediatric patients.
We drive innovative research by translating basic science into individualized care that restores function to patients. We are at the forefront of scientific research, offering potential therapies not offered anywhere else in the world. We are one of the highest NIH funded departments in the country.
Training the next generation of surgeons, scientists, and teachers is an immense privilege. Our educational initiatives offer learning and mentorship opportunities at all levels—including programs for high school students, medical students, residents, and postdoctoral trainees.
This is an exciting time in neurosurgery. Stanford Neurosurgery is uniquely poised to shape the future of our field by leading efforts in precision and restorative medicine. In addition, we aim to expand our reach to treat patients and educate neurosurgeons globally.
We are driven by a genuine dedication to excellent medical care. It is truly an honor and privilege for us to take care of patients. I invite you to explore our programs and receive your neurological care from our world-class faculty.
