Stanford Housing Equity Project (SHEP)

Description

The Stanford Housing Equity Project (SHEP) is a student-led initiative that connects Stanford's resources to community partners in the Bay Area with the aim of empowering them to develop programs that advance housing and health equity for individuals experiencing homelessness. We have extensive working relationships with community partners such as the Lifemoves shelter network, the United Effort Organization, the Valley Homeless Healthcare Program, and the Opioid Response Network, among many others. Ultimately, we hope to provide a space for students interested in working in projects concerning housing insecurity, substance use disorders, and community advocacy, while supporting the needs and growth of our community partners.
