SMSA Funding For Student Groups
All proposals are subject to approval by the SMSA Treasurer. Annual funding is for student organizations that have registered through the Office of Student Engagement. If your student group has not registered with OSE, please do so as soon as possible. If you are a new student organization, you must register a new student organization through OSE. If you are an exisiting student organization, you must complete annual registration through CardinalEngage.
*Only groups registered through the Office of Student Engagement / CardinalEngage are eligible to apply. The SMSA annual funding deadline is always in early September.
Specialty interest groups do not receive funding from SMSA; instead, those groups secure funding annually from their respective SoM/hospital departments.
All Stanford Medical School student groups that are registered with OSE are eligible to apply for programmatic funding from SMSA. The Annual Funding application process takes place each September to provide group funding for the fiscal year (September 1st - August 31st). As Annual Funding is the main SMSA source of funding for student organizations, it is highly recommended that existing student groups register with OSE by the spring deadline of an academic year to qualify for Annual Funding during the following academic year. See more information on the OSE deadlines for existing student organizaitons here.
Please look for an email about student organization annual funding from the SMSA Treasurer in early September.
