How to Apply
Family Medicine Residency Program
Our Recruitment Philosophy
We are looking for outstanding applicants who are committed to Family Medicine, dedicated in caring for patients in our community and being part of a close and cohesive team. Our commitment is to train the best family medicine physicians in the world.
We receive hundreds of applications through ERAS. We make all efforts to review all complete applications that meet our requirements. We do not have the capacity to interview all the applications we review.
What makes an application stand out?
- Strong academics
- Commitment to serving others
- Geography – why do you want to be in the East Bay and California?
- Commitment to Family Medicine
- Encourage your LOR writers to support your application to Family Medicine and not to “any residency”.
- Strong personal statement. Tell us about yourself, your story, your achievements, your challenges, and why Family Medicine makes sense to you.
