The Stanford Health CareTri-Valley hospital serves as the main site of PA student inpatient clerkships. During their 4 weeks here, the students work closely with Hospitalist attendings and Hospitalist PAs, seeing and caring for a variety of medical and surgical patients. By the end of the rotation, students are expected to be able to care for 2-4 inpatients, provide comprehensive differential diagnoses and cohesive assessments, and management plans.
Other clinical rotations at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley include one-on-one clerkships with Primary Care Physicians, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, and different surgical specialties, including cardiothoracic and gastrointestinal surgery.
