Pediatrics Cardiology Division
The Department of Pediatrics has a proud history of providing specialized care to infants and children, educating future pediatric care givers, and conducting innovative research leading to new strategies to promote health and treat disease. Within the department, the cardiology division is dedicated to providing patient care through the commitment of our cardiologists and staff’s clinical and research work. All efforts throughout our units could not be possible without our cardiology fellows in training, pediatric house officers, advanced practice nurses, social workers, pharmacists and clerical staff.
Packard 2.0
The clinical programs at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital are truly comprehensive and include all facets in the modern pediatric cardiology department, both surgical and medical. The programs have expanded rapidly over the past 5 years and are well situated to sustain this growth in the coming years. Because of the continuing growth, it was decided in 2012, that Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford would begin Phase II of its expansion, creating two new wings in the hospital. The incremental 521,000 square feet, doubling the current space, will be adjacent to the existing Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford and will include advanced technologies, more private patient hospital rooms, and expanded clinics. In addition to this expansion, the new wings will be surrounded by healing gardens and green space.
