Two Online Surveys: Give Your Opinion about Meaningful Change and Different Levels of Outcomes in Treatments for Chronic Pain

Stanford currently has TWO online surveys exploring meaningful changes in chronic pain treatments. Each one takes about 30 minutes and must be completed on a desktop or laptop computer. You can take part in both surveys and earn up to $80 if you are:

  • A person experiencing chronic pain for more than 6 months
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Fluent in English

After collecting some basic information, we will ask you to complete some standard questions about how much your pain interferes with your regular activities, daily life, and sleep. We will also ask about you, your condition, and about your pain

Participation in the surveys will involve the following steps:

Study #1: Fictional Examples of Meaningful Change

Read short descriptions of fictional people living with chronic pain and rate their pain as mild, moderate, or severe.

Compensation: $40 Amazon Gift Card

Study #2: Compare Your Symptoms to Fictional Examples

Compare YOUR symptoms to those of fictional people and rate yours as greater, the same as, or less than the fictional examples.

Compensation: $40 Amazon Gift Card
