March 6, 2023

Ryann Fame, PhD

Congratulations to Ryann Fame, PhD, and colleagues on receiving a grant from the Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation to support their research on pediatric disorders involving cerebrospinal fluid. Her research project is titled: Origin and neurodevelopmental roles of perinatal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)

Using this grant, Dr. Fame and colleagues will start a high-risk, high-reward line of basic research that offers a unique chance to accelerate the bench to bedside cycle. Solving fundamental questions collaboratively can lead to better care for patients by understanding, diagnosing, and treating pediatric disorders involving CSF.

The Fame Lab is dedicated to broad collaboration focused on translating an understanding of neural development and CSF biology into regenerative strategies for the treatment of neurodevelopmental disease.

The Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation supports science-based research striving for the advancement of a healthy and sustainable future for humans.
