Dr. Foster Wins AWS Outstanding Resident Award
Dr. Deshka Foster has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Dr. Hilary Sanfey Outstanding Resident Award by the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS).

Dr. Deshka Foster, a Chief Resident in the General Surgery Residency program, has been awarded her second grant from the SPARK Translational Research Program.

Dr. Delitto Receives Damon Runyon Clinical Investigator Award
Dr. Dan Delitto has received the Damon Runyon Clinical Investigator Award. Dr. Delitto will receive $600,000 over the course of three years to pursue novel immunotherapeutic approaches to fibrotic tumors, particularly pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Dan Eisenberg received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Resident Dr. Kathryn Taylor won Excellence in Research Award from the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Poultsides Joins Annals of Surgery Editorial Board
Dr. George Poultisdes has been asked to join the Annals of Surgery Editorial Board. Dr. Poultsides was added to the board both due to his expertise in specific content areas as well as his track record of service to the journal wrote Editor-in-Chief Dr. Keith D. Lillemoe.

Dr. Byrne Lee has received a $50,000 intramural grant from Stanford's Cancer Center Clinical Innovation Fund.
