About Stanford General Surgery

Welcome to the Division of General Surgery website. The division is made up of general surgery subspecialty sections in acute care surgery, colorectal surgery, hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery, minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, surgical oncology, and general surgery at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System.

Our faculty are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in clinical surgery, research, global health, and education. They hold leadership positions in surgical and medical societies, and in the School of Medicine.
