About Stanford General Surgery
Message From the Chief
Welcome to the Division of General Surgery website. The division is made up of general surgery subspecialty sections in colorectal surgery, minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, trauma/critical care and acute care surgery, surgical oncology (breast, gastrointestinal, hepatopancreaticobiliary, and endocrine surgery), and general surgery at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System.
Our faculty are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in clinical surgery, research, global health, and education. They hold leadership positions in surgical and medical societies, and in the School of Medicine.
