Training of Mentees

Preparing the Mentees

Peer mentoring is one of the most essential avenues to receive ‘training’ on becoming a mentee; the opportunity to connect with colleagues at the same career level and the sharing of information provides incredible contexts and lens through which you can appreciate your own experience as a mentee, the quality of the mentoring you are receiving, and the needs you have.

The School of Medicine Office of Academic Affairs Faculty Peer Mentoring Program is one successful example of a robust, senior-faculty led peer mentoring groups that meet regularly (and confidentially).  There are ongoing cycles of groups forming throughout the year.
