New Residents and Fellows Join Department Starting Summer 2024

The Stanford Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery will welcome five new residents and fellows to the department starting this summer 2024.

Three incoming residents will join Stanford’s Integrated Cardiothoracic Surgical Training Program: Ellelan Degife from Yale University School of Medicine, Sofia Hu from Harvard Medical School, and Benjamin Shou from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. They will start their training at the end of June 2024.

Additionally, two will join the Traditional Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship program: Corbin Goerlich, MD, PhD, from Johns Hopkins University for the Adult Cardiac Surgery Track and Gregory Kennedy, MD, from University of Pennsylvania for the General Thoracic Track. They will start their training in August of 2024. We look forward to welcoming them to Stanford!
