Andrei Iagaru, MD, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

May 13th, 2021

The Department of Radiology is pleased to announce the opening of its Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging’s Theragnostics Clinic. The Theragnostics Clinic allows patients to navigate quickly between clinic consults, SPECT/CT or PET/CT scans, and treatment infusions, in a state-of-the-art facility.

In the ribbon cutting ceremony, Andrei Iagaru, MD, professor and chief of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, honored the memory of Sam Sanjiv Gambhir, whose vision was a factor behind the clinic.

For the past few years, the Division of Nuclear Medicine has been working closely with other disciplines to develop a patient-tailored theragnostics approach to cancer and other pathologies.
