The Human sequencing project

The Stanford Genome Technology Center has been funded by the NHGRI to contribute to the international effort to sequence and annotate the approximately 3 billion bases of the human genome, using novel automated instrumentation designed, developed, and tested at our own site.

All sequence generated at SGTC was promptly submitted to Genbank, and accession numbers listed in our table of assigned clones include links to the appropriate Genbank record. In addition, information about assigned clones is available at the NCBI Cloneserver.
