Jaw-Town Lin, MD, PhD

Dr. Jaw-Town Lin graduated from the School of Medicine, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University in 1978. He received his MD. / PhD. at the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1986.

He is currently the Vice Superintendent of E-Da Hospital in Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Professor Emeritus of National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan; Honorary President of The Digestive Endoscopy Society of Taiwan (DEST), Taiwan; and Honorary President of The Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan (GEST), Taiwan.

Dr. Lin is a physician scientist, endoscopist, gastroenterologist, and hepatologist. He is actively involved in the basic, clinical, epidemiological, and translational research of peptic ulcer disease, H. pylori infection, gastric cancer, hepatitis, hepatoma, and pancreatic cancer. He won the Award of Marshall & Warren Luminal Gastroenterology Lectureship from the Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE) in 2015. He is now serving as the Editor of Gut, Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Therapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology.
