Lei Chen

Lei Chen, Advisory Board Member

Ms. Lei Chen is an active community volunteer at schools in the Palo Alto School District and Menlo School, as well as a longtime supporter of Palo Alto Partners in Education (PIE), which supports Palo Alto public schools financially. Additionally, she is a board member at Los Altos Robotics: an organization that promotes robotics and organizes robotics competitions for youth to challenge themselves and experience the joy of building and programming robots. Her family has also been supporting the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford over the years. Most recently, she has volunteered at the Santa Clara County Emergency Operations Center during the COVID-19 pandemic to help with vaccination operations.

After receiving her M.A. in Biostatistics from UC Berkeley, Ms. Lei Chen worked in the financial and software industry for 19 years. During her time, she held various professional and managerial positions of increasing responsibilities. She has extensive experience in commercial software development, releases in the CRM field and retail industry, and is skilled at managing both local and globally distributed teams. As an Asian immigrant, she hopes to better serve the Asian community and improve the health of Asians everywhere.
