2017 SPR Most Promising Investigator Award

The Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR) recognized Kathryn Garcia, Diego Jaramillo, MD, and Erika Rubesova, MD, with the most promising investigator award for the paper titled “Stress Injuries, and Physiological Adaptations in the Fingers of Adolescent Competitive Rock Climbers: Evaluation by Ultrasound and MRI”. The paper reported ultrasound and MRI findings for finger soft tissue and bone injuries in competitive rock climbers. Of note, Kathryn Garcia is a junior at Los Altos High School and did an outstanding job in her presentation.
