The Critical Care Medicine service has been providing state of the art care for patients at Stanford with life-threatening conditions since 1975.

A comprehensive group of attending physicians from both Anesthesia and Pulmonary Medicine personally direct all care given to patients on the service and lead teaching programs for residents and students, as well as a complete fellowship program for those interested in a career in Critical Care Medicine.

ICU pt with Pneumococcal Pneumonia, Septic Shock with MSOF, bilat Ptx, ARDS (Rx: NO) ,Renal Failure on CVVHD. Dischg from ICU in 1 month; home in 6 wks; normal in 1 yr.
