Making a Donation

Did you know that >200 drugs have been FDA approved for the treatment of cancer but only one is for children with brain cancer? Yet, brain cancer is the leading cause for cancer-related death in children. A major hurdle to developing effective childhood brain cancer treatments is the lack of cancer cell lines that faithfully represent the human disease. Childhood brain cancers are complex disease, and each cancer is unique and of a specific type. With 15+ years of experience in this area, we recently started the pediatric brain cancer model development initiative. Funding is needed to develop cancer cell lines for each childhood brain cancer type and represent as many individual cancer cases as possible. Your gift will support the generation of cancer cell lines and facilitate using them as avatars to develop personalized treatments and eventually cure this terrible disease.
