Tina Hernandez-Boussard

Tina Hernandez-Boussard, PhD, MPH, is the Associate Dean of Research at Stanford University School of Medicine and is the Director of Health Informatics at the Stanford Center for Clinical and Translational Research and Education. As a Professor of Medicine in BioMedical Informatics Research, Biomedical Data Science, Surgery, and Population Health & Epidemiology (by courtesy), she is a leader in utilizing real-world data, particularly Electronic Health Records (EHRs), to address complex healthcare challenges. She is pioneering the notion of a patient digital twin, integrating multimodal data and uniting mechanistic and data-driven models. Dr. Hernandez-Boussard research contributions include over 230 published articles, reflecting her commitment to advancing healthcare delivery and patient outcomes through AI methodologies. Her distinguished contributions were recognized in 2020 when she was elected as a fellow to the American College of Medical Informatics.
