Be sure to register for the Data Dashboard, and have students take a pre-test before this lesson. Students will begin their drug education unit by defining what is a drug and discuss their perceptions about alcohol and other drugs.

Learning Objectives

By hearing and participating in this lesson, students will:
 
  • Define drugs and understand that there is a wide variety of drugs that people use for different reasons, including drugs for medical purposes, illegal drugs that can hurt us, and even caffeine use.
