Greetings Stanford Pathology Residents and Fellows!

Stanford Pathology Graphic Arts Services is here to assist you with your presentation poster for the upcoming USCAP conference held on March 23-28, 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland, Baltimore Convention Center.

Poster Guidelines:

  1. The poster board surface is 48 inches tall by 94 inches wide. The poster dimensions should be no greater than 44 inches x 91 inches. You are limited to this surface, however, you do not need to fill the entire board. The recommended minimum size is 42 inches x 68 inches. (You can download the correct aspect ratio template here to give you a 42X68 inch poster)
  2. A header that includes the Title, Authors, and Affiliations should be mounted at the top of the board.
  3. All presenters are expected to place a disclosure statement at the top of their posters. The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology protects the integrity of its educational program content by strict enforcement of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. By requirements of the ACCME, USCAP requires all individuals who are in a position to control the content of a CME activity to disclose all financial relationships with any ineligible companies that you have had in the past 24 months. An ineligible company is any entity whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients. There is no minimum financial threshold; you should disclose all financial relationships, regardless of the potential relevance of each relationship to the education. To view the disclosures that should be added, log in to your abstract account and select the View Relevant Disclosures button.
  4. All illustrations, charts, graphs, and printed material should be legible from a distance of 3 feet or more. Keep illustrative material simple. Photographs show up better if they are matte-finished. Avoid heavy backing material which is difficult to attach to the board.
  5. Pushpins will be provided for mounting posters on the poster board.
  6. If you have any questions on-site regarding posters, or if you arrive to set up and there is already a poster on your board, please visit the USCAP Poster Information Booth #733 for assistance.

Place your poster on the board with the corresponding poster board number. Please note the setup, break, and removal times below. Embargo Policy:

Unless otherwise noted, all abstracts presented at the USCAP Annual Meeting are embargoed until the date and time of presentation. They cannot be presented in any national or international forum or be published (online or print) in abstract or manuscript form prior to the first day of the USCAP annual meeting. USCAP reserves the right to lift the embargo on specific abstracts that are selected for promotion prior to or during the USCAP Annual Meeting. If the accepted abstract is also submitted as a manuscript for publication, authors are responsible for coordinating a publication date that abides by the Academy’s embargo policy. If publication occurs online or in print before the USCAP 2024 Annual Meeting March 23-28, 2024, the abstract must be withdrawn. Please notify the Academy via email at education@uscap.org. If the accepted abstract is found to have been presented or published prior to the USCAP 2024 Annual Meeting it will be removed from the program.

Your Science Poster Service Station for Stanford Pathology:

Download the Pathology poster template set up specifically for USCAP provided below. Once you build your poster come back and upload it here. If your poster is incomplete or you need help you can also upload the incomplete poster with additional images or illustrations. There will be a detailed instructions box in the form to fill out. Feel free to contact me directly at norm.cyr@stanford.edu.

Time Constraints!

  • Posters ready to print: Allow 3 full business days
  • Posters needing work: Allow 5 full business days for completion and print
  • If your poster requires work a "soft proof" pdf file will be sent to you to approve or disapprove. Once you approve your poster will be printed.
  • You are required to stop by Room L206 in the Lane Building to retrieve your poster from the printer bin and pack up your poster for travel. There are tubes and instructions in the room on how to pack it correctly (it does matter as the poster may become stuck in the tube).

Please do not wait until the last minute up to the day you leave for the conference to get this done. Sometimes there are issues with the printer and or problems with your file which need to be resolved. I always try to build in extra time for these complications to get your poster to you on time. Thank you and good luck at the conference! Norm.Cyr@stanford.edu
