Students will learn about alcohol and other depressant drugs. They will read scenarios about alcohol use and offer strategies to help their peers reduce alcohol-related harms.

Learning Objectives

By hearing and participating in this lesson, students will:
 
  • Describe how alcohol and other depressant drugs affect the brain and body.

  • Identify the real and perceived harms and benefits of using alcohol and other depressant drugs.

  • Advise yourself and your peers who are using alcohol or other depressants on harm-reducing behaviors related to alcohol use.
