Students will learn about stimulant drugs, their effects, real and perceived benefits and risks. They will further discuss concepts of dose and dosage, particularly as related to the stimulant drug use.

Learning Objectives

By hearing and participating in this lesson, students will:
 
  • Describe stimulant drugs and their general effects on the brain and body.

  • Understand real and perceived benefits and harms of using stimulant drugs.

  • Be aware of the importance of using harm reduction strategies if stimulant drugs are used.
