Students will learn how unique their brains are and how drugs affect the brain, especially the developing teenage brain.

Learning Objectives

By hearing and participating in this lesson, students will:
 
  • Understand how the adolescent brain is unique, and continues to grow and change until your mid-20s

  • Understand how the adolescent brain reacts to drugs including tolerance and withdrawal. 

  • Understand the different problems associated with drug dependency during adolescence.
