Students will learn about hallucinogenic drugs, their effects, risks and real and perceived benefits. Also students will learn about the harm reduction practice of drug checking.

Learning Objectives

By hearing and participating in this lesson, students will:
 
  • Describe the general effects of hallucinogenic drugs on the brain and body

  • Identify the harms and real and perceived benefits of hallucinogenic drugs

  • Be aware of specific strategies to reduce harm from hallucinogenics among those using
