What type of degree is required to enter Stanford Medicine?
Applicants must have earned a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university by the time of matriculation.
Will online degrees be considered in the application process for Stanford Medicine?
Online degrees will not be considered in the application process for Stanford Medicine.
Do you consider applications from students who have registered under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status?
Yes. Applicants are considered for admission to Stanford Medicine without regard to their country of origin.
Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, permanent U.S. residents holding a valid visa, individuals who have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at the time of application, undocumented students, and international students.
If admitted, DACA students are eligible for Stanford institutional financial aid on the basis of financial need.
Do you consider applications from students who are undocumented immigrants?
Yes. Applicants are considered for admission to Stanford Medicine without regard to their country of origin. Eligible applicants include individuals who have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at the time of the applications as well as undocumented students.

I took the MCAT several times. Do you see all of my scores?
Yes. Stanford Medicine can see all of your MCAT test scores from previous administrations of the MCAT. We do not combine scores of the sections to make your cumulative score higher.
What are the earliest and latest MCAT test dates accepted for applications?
In order for your application to be considered for the 2025 admissions cycle, at least 1 MCAT result from an exam taken after January 2021 and before the end of September 2024 should be included in your application.
Does Stanford Medicine accept international students?

Can I send my transcripts to the Admissions Office?
Please do not send additional coursework or transcripts unless we have specifically requested such information from you.
Does Stanford Medicine accept transfer applicants?
Stanford Medicine does not accept any students who matriculated in a medical institution.
How will I receive notification of my application status for Stanford Medicine?
Please do not call us for updates on the status of your application. A timeline of notifications is available on the MD Admissions Timeline page.
