Degree Programs

The registrars’ offices at Stanford University are responsible for maintaining the academic records of all current and former students. This includes grades, concentrations, degrees and graduation honors that students receive.

MD Program

The School of Medicine Registrar serves students pursuing the MD degree.

PhD or Masters Degree

The University Registrar serves graduate students pursuing a PhD or MS degree.

Non-degree Programs

For each of the non-degree training programs offered by the School of Medicine and Stanford Hospital & Clinics, a central office maintains records of registration, tracks participants' progress and certifies program completion.

Postdoctoral Scholars

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) maintains official documentation and certifies completion of training for all of Stanford's postdoctoral scholars.

Residencies & Fellowships

The Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) supervises post-graduate residency and fellowship programs at Stanford Hospital & Clinics.

Continuing Medical Education

The Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) approves activities designed for practicing physicians who are continuing their education.
