Overview

The Stanford Infectious Diseases clinics provide state-to-the-art diagnosis and treatment for patients with various kinds of infections.  We have over 10 clinic physicians with sub-specialty expertise in the following areas:

General ID Clinic – Treats infections of different etiologies and of different organ systems, from bacterial pneumonia, Clostridium difficile colitis to viral meningitis.

Immunocompromised Host ID Clinic – Provides care to patients with suppressed immune systems, such as those with bone marrow transplant, solid organ transplant, cancer or other forms of immunodeficiency.

Orthopedic-ID clinic – Co-locates with Stanford Orthopedic Clinics at the Redwood City campus to provide care for patients with orthopedic-related infections, such as osteomyelitis or prosthetic joint infections.

ME/CFS Clinic – The ME/CFS Clinic at Stanford University combines a multidisciplinary clinical and research approach to diagnosing and treating ME/CFS.

Positive Care Clinic – Provides HIV specialty care, HIV prevention services, as well as confidential sexually transmitted disease testing, treatment, prevention, and education.

Travel Clinic – Provides expert, pre-travel consultative services including travel immunizations and provides treatment for illnesses contracted while traveling abroad.

Cystic Fibrosis-ID Clinic – Locates within the Stanford Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Clinic to provide consultation and management for CF patients with infectious complications.
