Mission Statement: Within the Stanford Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, the mission of the Division of Global Health Equity is to expand patient advocacy locally and across the globe through collaborative partnerships, ethical clinical engagement, medical education, and translational research.
Governing Principles: The Division of Global Health Equity aims to ensure equity in access to safe and effective perioperative care worldwide. The division addresses disparities in access through its focus on medical education, public health awareness, research and publications, mentorship, and bi-directional collaborations; continuously striving to maintain high levels of ethical consideration. The division aspires primarily to benefit better patient outcomes by expanding the Global Health awareness and skill set of medical providers both at Stanford and within our partner organizations.
