Stanford Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology

As a premier academic center for complex gastrointestinal and liver disorders, we provide state-of-the-art clinical care, supported by pioneering scientific research and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The Stanford Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology has a long tradition of major contributions in basic and clinical research, a track record of training fellows for successful academic careers, and a longitudinal commitment to provide cutting-edge care for patients with complex gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

W. Ray Kim, Chief

The strength of the GI program at Stanford is the ability to craft an experience that is unique to our trainees' own interests and goals while immersing them in an environment that offers excellent clinical and research training.

We conduct a vast array of exciting research in a unique environment that continually fuses basic and clinical sciences. Our world-class research faculty are strongly funded by several independent research grants and awards.

We provide outstanding care of the highest quality to our patients with GI and liver diseases. We have 18 specialty clinical programs providing personalized and patient-centered care in a compassionate manner.

Our team of faculty, staff, and fellows are committed to our academic mission to educate the future leaders in GI, advance knowledge of digestive disorders and deliver the highest quality of care to our patients. We are creating a diverse and inclusive workforce embedded in a nourishing work environment.

A gift to the division supports our ongoing research and helps educate future gastroenterologists and hepatologists via our ACGME-accredited fellowship training program.

A donation is also a meaningful way to honor a significant person in your life or remember someone who has passed away.
