Translational Research

Generous donations support research and education dedicated to understanding the healthy human heart and heart disease. Implementing research into patient-care is Stanford Medicine.

The CVI Clinical Trials Core provides a full spectrum of support to CVI members and their clinical trials. The coordinator has extensive clinical research experience in both industry and academia. The team provides comprehensive support to clinical trial principal investigators and sponsors.

The SCVI Biobank is a biorepository of patient-specific, de-identified, human-induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines, and distribute these lines to the scientific community. The iPSC lines cover a broad spectrum of cardiac diseases, healthy controls, and non-cardiac disease controls.

The Advanced Drug Delivery and Regenerative Biomaterials (ADDReB) Laboratory specializes in the creation of biomaterials and drug delivery agents, lending its expertise toward designing and analyzing biomaterials, developing drug delivery devices and formulations, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies, and developing smart materials for biomedical applications.

The Clinical Biomarker and Phenotype Core Laboratory (BPCL) is a facility under the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute that provides state of the art evaluation of cardiovascular phenotypes for clinical and translational studies.
