Meister Lab

Welcome

Research

Our goal is to improve the treatment of patients with thyroid problems by understanding the interplay of health and the environment.

Our laboratory uses the thyroid and immune system tissues to learn more about autoimmune diseases, thyroid problems, and how our bodies interact with the environment.  Our goal is to better understand disease processes in order to develop novel therapies to treat thyroid disease such as autoimmune thyroid disease and thyroid cancer.

We also aim to develop a culture of inclusivity, life-long learning, team science & collaboration, and have an eye towards medtech innovation.

Our research is supported by
