Psychology Research and Development Consultant

We are seeking a psychology consultant to collaborate with and advise our team on a range of applied psychology topics! Our team values compassion, optimism, competence, collaboration, and challenge. We are strongly committed to issues of social justice, multiculturalism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of current evidence-based practices in applied clinical interventions, translating evidence to practice, and evaluating emerging applied psychological and medical research. Candidates who are currently in or have completed a post-doctoral clinical / research fellowship are preferred.

Possible Roles

  • Conduct(s) current literature reviews on psychological topics identified by our team.
  • Locates and evaluates latest trends in applied clinical and counseling psychological and medical science and helps translate research to practice.
  • Drafts and presents brief overviews of relevant literature and professional expertise in applied settings.
  • Consulting with team members virtually.

Experience:

  • Ph.D., Psy.D., or Doctoral Candidate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program with at least 6 months pre-doctoral clinical experience and have completed the dissertation.
  • Clinical training and experience in general mental health, behavioral medicine, and sleep science preferred.
  • Training and experience delivering evidence-based psychotherapies.
  • Strongly values multicultural humility, diversity, equity, inclusion, and issues of social justice.
  • Works well in a collaborative and fluid atmosphere.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and applications like MS Office and Prezi.
  • Comfortable working independently.

 

COMPENSATION:

Pediatric Sleep Program Assistant Professor 

Education, Training, and Experience Required:

  • Qualifications include a PhD or PsyD from an APA-approved clinical or counseling psychology program, and an APA-approved internship with an emphasis on pediatric psychology
  • Postdoctoral fellowship and/or experience working within a pediatric sleep program are preferred.
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin
  • Collaborative and engaged in working as part of an interdisciplinary team

ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR BASIC AND TRANSLATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE NON-TENURE LINE (RESEARCH)

The chosen candidate will be expected to engage in translational scholarly research and teaching in areas including, but not limited to, psychiatric genetics, animal models of psychiatric dysfunction and preclinical studies centered on the development of innovative psychiatric treatments targeting social aspects of mental health and contributors to disability such as social functioning and/or resilience to stress among other areas of bench research.

Candidates must hold a doctoral-level degree and have stamped themselves as creative and promising investigators with proven ability to obtain external funding, as well as outstanding performance, or promise for outstanding performance, as a teacher and mentor.  

The major criterion for appointment for faculty in the Non-Tenure Line (Research) is evidence of high-level performance as a researcher for whose special knowledge a programmatic need exists.

Pediatric behavioral sleep medicine psychologist

The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits through IU Health Physicians and the Indiana University School of Medicine, where the psychologist will hold a faculty position. 

To Apply: Requirements include completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral program in psychology, formal training in child clinical and/or pediatric psychology, and license eligibility in Indiana. Pediatric sleep psychology work experience is preferred but not required.
